Prayer Request

I would like to request your prayers for both my kids as they are being sick for a week now. It started out with my son with some ulcer kind of sores in his mouth which eventually spread all over his mouth and tongue along with inflammation of the gums and high fever. After two days, my daughter started showing the same symptoms and in her case it got much severe.

Doctor initially thought this was a usual summer time viral infection, but at the same time they did a culture and the results came today. According to them, it is called a Herpetic Stomatitis

It is extremely painful and they have extreme difficulty in swallowing food/drink. My daughter was almost dehydrated at one point.

Though they expect to have a full recovery in about 2 weeks, we were asked to keep checking their eyes since there is a possibility of secondary infection which can lead to many complications (in the eyes).

Pls. keep them (Jessica and Jonathan) in your prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers! This means a lot.
They both are doing much better, still not fully recovered yet. Jonathan is 80% okay now. Jessica is about 50% okay now, no fever, slowly gaining her appetite, but still have difficulty drinking/eating (She lost a lot of weight in few days!). They both have an appointment with an Ophthalmologist on Wednesday. Pls. continue to keep them in your prayers for everything to go well with the Ophthalmologist.
Thank you all again and above all I thank my loving Father for healing them and giving us the peace and strength during this time. Last few days were a very tough time for both me and my wife. We have never seen them suffering like this before, so it was really tough! But, God continue to sustain us through this and I am grateful for all His provisions.

Hi all,

The appointment with the Ophthalmologist went just fine. Both of their eyes are clear. No signs of infection.
Kids are doing fine now, still recuperating but I started hearing their giggles, silly screams and fights after so many days!

Again I want to thank you all for praying!

Wow! Awesome! Thanks for the update. I'll bet you're glad to hear all of that noise, including the fighting, again.

What Aida said. :) Sometimes the noise and fighting is hard to deal with, but it's harder to live without it. Glad they're healthy again!
